Know the shape of your face

Face shape
Face shape
How to measure and determine the shape of your face, and most importantly, how to choose the hairstyle that best suits your face shape.
The shape of your face is the starting point for choosing a new hairstyle. Your hair type is the following consideration. Your hair naturally straight, wavy, curly or frizzy? Your fine hair texture, medium or thick? Finally, take the volume of the hair into consideration.
It is difficult to be objective about the shape of your own face, but here is a sure way to be sure that your bias will not be influenced your own analysis. Hair designers are the ultimate judges of your face shape, but if you need a little help try this experiment.

There are many suggestions on how to determine your shape. It may be describing the shape of your face on a mirror with lipstick to draping it with a towel and asking others to help you guess the shape. But there is actually a scientific way to determine your face shape once and for all.
To find the shape of your face, measure it with a tape measure or ruler. You take the following measures.

1. Measure your face at the top of your cheekbones. Note the measurement on a piece of paper.
2. Measure across your jaw line from the widest point to widest point. Note the measurement.
3. Measure across your forehead at the widest point. Generally the widest point will be somewhere halfway between your eyebrows and hair. Note the measurement.
4. Measure from the tip of your hair at the bottom of your chin.

Oval Face - Length equal to one and a half times the width.
Round Face - Your face is as wide as long. This may vary a little, but generally the measurement is near.
Oblong - Longer than broad.
Heart - Narrow at jaw line, wide at cheekbones and / or forehead.
Square - your face is about as wide as long.
Diamond - widest at cheekbones, forehead and narrow line widths of the jaw about equal।

Oval Face Shape Oval

Only a little closer to the jaw line in the temples, with a gently rounded hairline.
Try

A variety of styles. Just about any form of hair becomes you. Your features "perfect", you can bring a wider range of styles than any other face shape. Have you ever noticed the majority of models fall into this shape? Have you noticed how many different hair styles they can wear?

You can wear short hairstyle medium and long term. Your face shape is well "balanced" or in the same proportion. You'll look better when your hair style to your face. Most oval face shapes can wear slicked-backed looks as well.
Avoid

Hair styles that cover your "perfect" features with heavy bangs or too forward of leadership styles.

By wearing your hair on your face, you will lose your face shape behind the hair. This may seem to add weight to your face।

Rectangular Face Shape Rectangular or oblong

Rectangular or oblong
Long and thin, about the same width at the forehead and just below cheekbones. May have a very narrow chin or a very high forehead.
Try

Styles short to medium term durations. Fullness at the sides of your face and a tapered bangs soften the appearance of face shape longer. You'll want to balance the look of a long face and thin. Soft wispy Bangs will reduce the appearance of length. Fullness at the sides of your face will add width to the look of your face shape.

By cutting the hair into a short or medium term, the contour of the cut will also shorten the look of the length of the face. Layers work great with the shape of your face, as they will add softness to the straight face. Try side parts, and you may be able to bring back the styles directly.
Avoid

Too much hair length. . . this will make your face appear even longer! Too much height lengthens your face. Parts Center looks great on people with a rectangular or oblong face. When your hair grows past your shoulders, there are good chances that you did more harm than good. The models with rectangular face shapes and long hair get by with it because they are "on call" hairdresser. This professional is available to the models and can usually be found busy primping and teasing, setting and style or add fullness to the hair. Like most of us do not have this luxury, my suggestion is to keep the length above the shoulder.

Round Face Shape Round

Full-looking face with round chin and hairline. Widest point is at the cheeks and ears.
Try

Hair styles with fullness and height at the crown. Off Parts Center help to reduce the roundness. Styles with short hair styles swept back direction or hair that are longer than chin length. By layering the top to achieve fullness and keeping the rest of the cut relatively close to the face, the shape of your round face appears longer and narrower.
Avoid

Chin length hair with a rounded line that mirrors round face. Parts Center tend to accentuate the roundness. Also avoid styles with short-short crops, straight or "chopped" Bangs. Fullness at side of ears also accentuates the round. A rounded haircut ending at the chin will certainly add weight to your already round shaped face. Because the widest part of your face is on the cheeks and ears, you need to avoid having the fullness of the cut here, because it will make your face appear wider. I wrote about the round face shapes in my paper round face shapes can be alleviated, the hair and a round shape hairstyles for round face shapes.

Square Face Shape Square

Square
A strong, square jaw and usually a hairline equally square.
Try

Short and medium length hair, especially with wave or roundness around the face. Wispy Bangs soften the angular shape. Off-pieces with a center height of the crown are great on square faces. You want to soften the appearance of your square face with layers and wispy looks around the face. Height at the crown will elongate your symmetrical shape. If your hair is straight, you may want to consider a body wave, as some curl or wave the hair will achieve a good balance of features straight shape of your face.
Avoid

Long straight styles that accentuate square jawbone. "Linear" Bangs right or central parts are not the best choice. A square ending at the right jaw line is the right thing to do for your face shape. You can wear a bob at several levels, but it should end above or below the jaw, not the jaw. Make sure that style you realize some roundness to the shape and some height at the crown or Bangs, and you'll be on track.

Heart Face Shape Heart

Face is wide at the temples and hairline, leading to a small delicate chin.
Try

Chin-length or longer styles work well with a face-shaped heart. Other styles to try: side-parted hair swept-forward or layers around the upper face, gently Bangs light. A square chin length is great in the shape of your face! This creates a balanced look by giving fullness where you need it. You can wear shorter styles, but if you are heart-shaped drama you need to leave weight in the back of the neck region. This will achieve a better balance between your dramatic cheekbones and narrow chin.
Avoid

In short, full styles that emphasize upper face. Stay away from styles with a height at the crown too. Severe, slicked back looks too severe for that form. If you are heart-shaped dramatic short full styles with tapered necklines which emphasize the upper face will make you look top heavy. Too much height at the crown will give the appearance of a chin longer and narrower. Just remember if you have a face in dramatic heart shape, you have great cheekbones to emphasize! Do not miss the boat by getting a cut that is too top heavy.

triangle face shape Triangular

Try

Shorter hair that balances prominent jaw line. Styles that are full at the temples and taper at the jaw are perfect for triangular shapes. Off Parts Center, wedges and shags look great on you, too. You need lots of layers to achieve fullness through the upper part of your face. By wearing styles which are full at the temples and taper at the jaw line, you achieve a balance that can be spectacular in the accentuation of different information underestimated. Try tucking hair behind the ears, as this will attract attention to your eyes and add the illusion of width in this area.
Avoid

Long, full hair styles that draw attention to jaw line. Parts Center Off-center is more flattering to faces triangular.

Stay away from styles with a height at the crown too. You also want to avoid putting the most weight for a haircut at the jaw line and below. This will give the appearance of extra weight on his face.

If being with long hair, keep tight to the neck।

Triangle Face Shape Diamond

Your face shape is balanced and dramatic. Experimentation with a variety of styles. Almost everything works with your face (unless you are a true diamond). You can wear shorter styles. However, if you are a dramatic diamond, you need to leave weight in the back nape area like someone with a face-shaped heart. This will achieve a better balance between your dramatic cheekbones and the chin delicate line.
Avoid

You can do almost everything, but try not to wear too much hair on the face, thereby hiding your great features.
